Man burns self to death in south China

NANNING, Jan. 11 — A man died after setting himself ablaze Monday outside a government gate in south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, local authorities said.
The man, identified as Ruan Guangrui, a 49-year-old resident in Dongsun Community in Youjiang District, Baise City, burnt himself at about 4:20 p.m. at the gate of the district government, said the spokesman of the Baise Public Security Bureau.
The cause of the self-burning was still under investigation, the spokesman said.
